Jefferson Street Surveys

Now that you have collected surveys about Jefferson Street, please answer the following questions: (Please answer in complete sentences)
1. Did you have any trouble identifying people to fill out the surveys? Why or why not.
2. What was the most interesting comment that you received from one of your participants (either written or verbal)?
3. Did you learn anything new about Jefferson Street as a result of administering this survey?
4. What do you feel would be the best suggestion for Jefferson Street and JUMP?

    2.That they think we should help as a student body to clean up Jefferson Street.
    3.That it was a very historical area.
    4.To keep it clean and some new things on the entire street and more TSU paraphernalia.

  2. 1. No, I didn't have any trouble. Everyone seemed to be interested in helping Jefferson Street in any way possible.
    2. One guy said that he wanted a place that sold soundtracks again. He said that there use to be a place like that.

    4. I really don't know for the simple fact that I don't know how it use to be. I would just hope that the community would help take care of it a little better.

    2. The most interesting comment was from one student who named all of the restaurants on Jefferson.
    3. I learned about all of the restaurants on Jefferson.
    4. To make it more presentable.

  4. 1. No I did not have any trouble identifying people to fill out surveys because everyone I asked to fill out surveys visited Jefferson Street.

    2. I most interesting comment I received was a comment about the streets and traffic.

    3. No I did not learn anything new about Jefferson Street upon issuing this survey.

    4. The best suggestion for Jefferson Street and JUMP should be that they should start renovating and fixing the appearance of the way Jefferson Street looks. They should also add a little more advertisement so the street could be more marketable.

    2. The most interesting thing somebody said was that they have never been on Jefferson Street and they never plan on using it.

    3. I learned about the historical facts that Jefferson Street holds.

    4. The best suggestion I have is to put more security or police officers in the area to guarantee a safer place.

    2. One of the people said that they believe drug dealing takes place on Jefferson Street because of the amount of people that is out their.
    3. I didn't really learn much from the survey but I did from our guest speaker about the historical background.
    4. I think the best suggestion will be to clean it up a little and make it more appeallable so more customers will come in.

  7. 1.i did not have any trouble finding people to do the surveys because im friendly i asked anyone even if i did not know them.
    2.the most interesting comment was that jefferson street is not a good place to be.
    3.yes, not to walk down jefferson street.
    4.to get it cleaned up, and make it safer.

    4. The best suggestion would be is to keep Jefferson Street clean and let people know about there history .

  9. 1. I didn't have any trouble with getting people to fill out the surveys.Once people new what they were for they were happy to participate.
    2. The most interesting comment I received was how bad the street looked and that it was embarrassing that the school was so closed to that.
    3.I learned that not only TSU students benefit from Jefferson Street.
    4.I think the best suggestion is to just clean Jeffereson Street up and make it more welcoming.

  10. 1. While doing the surveys I did not have too much trouble finding people to do them. Most of the people I know live on campus or they live close to Jefferson street.

    2. I thought that it was interesting that a lot of people agreed with me that Jefferson street could be a little cleaner and more pleasing to the eye.

    3. I really didnt learn anything that I didnt already know but I did find out that there are more kinds of resturants that I havent tried yet.

    4. Being so close to TSU and the amount of students that walk or shop on Jefferson street a tourist would never know that there is a college down the street. I think that more signs of the surrounding colleges should be put up and down Jefferson street

  11. (1)I had no trouble getting people to fill out my surveys. The information on the surveys pursuaded people to proceed.
    (2)The mmost interesting comment i received was when one person said they did not like Jefferson Street.
    (3)I learned about many new resturants.
    (4)I would suggest that Jefferson street be cleaned up in order to make people respect the history this street beholds.

  13. 1. I didn't have trouble finding people to fill out the surveys everyone seemed eager to put their opinion in on the survey.
    2. The most interesting comment I recieved was from a teacher, and she said that Jefferson St. has so much potential and that she believes that it could look so much better and bring in much more money.
    3. I learned that alot off people are behind supporting Jefferson St. and are willing to do whatever they can to help.
    4. After hearing different students and teachers responses to the surveys, I believe that JUMP could ask for students to volunteer to help make Jefferson St. a more lucrative, attractive, and safer place;JUMP could start a petition to get money from the government by having all the students and teachers who support Jefferson St. sign it.

    3.I learned that alot of people have a love for Jefferson Street.

    4. I feel that Jefferson St. and J.U.M.P. should lobby and try to get money from the government to help clean up the area.

    2.I did have one professor who told me that he has never shopped on Jefferson Street.

    3.I didn't really learn anything new.

    4.We as a university and community should do something to make Jefferson Street look better than it does now.

    2. I heard that people think that the students should get together and try to go clean and do work on Jefferson street.

    3. I learned that Jefferson street is very historical. I thought it was just like every other street but this street holds a lot of historical value for the people in the community.

    4. I think they should do more renovating and work to make Jefferson street a better place for the community. If everybody likes the area more people will come out to spend time.
